Women of Sufism
Daughter of the Moment
An immersive introductory class into a feminine way of relating to the Beloved and what it means to encounter God as a woman.
In the Sufi tradition, the true seeker is called ibn al-waqt — the child of the moment. At each breath, a new self arrives from God. Each instant is a renewal. What shifts when you realize that who you are right now, in this body, in this feeling, is exactly who God is creating you to be?
About this Class
What This Class Offers
Through poetry, somatic practice, and the lineage of women saints, we explore what it means to meet the Divine beyond the inherited wounds that have shaped how we see God and discover who we might become in their absence.
This class addresses two things at once. First, we come into contact and bring awareness into the ways that patriarchal structures have shaped our inner world, our sense of belonging, our relationship with God. And then, from that honest ground, we ask: who would I be if this wasn't true? Who would God be?
In the Sufi tradition, the true seeker is called ibn al-waqt the child of the moment. At each breath, a new self arrives from God. Each instant is a renewal. What shifts when you realise that who you are right now, in this body, in this feeling, is exactly who God is creating you to be?
We are not alone in this. Through the lives and words of great women saints and sheikhas, the lineage of female Sufis who carried and transmitted this tradition, we remember that our longing, our questions, our embodied devotion are the path itself.
This class is for all women, from any background or faith who feels a calling to the Beloved.

O God,
Whenever I listen to the voice of anything You have made
The rustling of the trees the trickling of water
The cries of birds the flickering of shadow the roar of the wind
The song of the thunder, I hear it saying:
"God is One”
Nothing can be compared with God!
